Downer awarded new $860 million Homes NSW contract

27 June 2024 DOWNER AWARDED NEW $860 MILLION HOMES NSW CONTRACT Downer EDI Limited (Downer) today announced it had been awarded a new contract to deliver maintenance services across the Homes NSW public housing portfolio in contract areas 9, 12 and 13, covering Inner City Sydney, Southern Tablelands, South Coast, Macarthur and Southern Highlands, and Illawarra. The contract to deliver responsive and programmed maintenance services commences on 1 July 2024, and is valued at approximately $860 million for a maximum term of 10 years. The contract’s initial term is five years, with provisions for two extensions of two years each and one extension for one year. The scope of the contract covers responsive maintenance along with capital upgrade, vacant restoration, home modifications and lawns, grounds and cleaning services and works to approximately 24,000 public housing dwellings.
