Scott Technology Secures $30M in Global Contracts for Materials Handling & Logistics Major Deals in Europe and North America Include First Pre-Order of New NexBot AGV [29 October 2024 - Auckland, NZ] - Scott Technology Limited (NZX: SCT) has secured six major contracts, totalling €17 million (NZD $30 million), for its Materials Handling & Logistics (MHL) business with leading food processors across Europe and North America. These wins spanning across, Canada, Belgium, France and the Netherlands continue to reinforce Scott’s global leadership in automation for food processing and are key to the company's strategy of expanding its market presence in North America this year. The contracts also mark a milestone in Scott’s productisation strategy with the first pre-order of the all-new NexBot Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) which is set to launch in H1 FY25. Its upcoming launch marks a pivotal moment in Scott’s productisation strategy, as we move from custom-engineered systems to scalable, productised solutions—strengthening our leadership in industry innovation and transforming the way our customers operate.” Notable Deployments: • North American Food Processor - France Scott Technology will deliver a combined palletising and AGV solution at the French facility of a leading North American food processor. The project will pair Scott's European multiline palletising expertise with its U.S. designed NexBot AGV, marking the debut deployment of the AGV range which is set to launch in 2025. The full system will be integrated using Scott’s proprietary Maestro+ industrial software. “This innovative system will not only automate the palletising process but also integrate advanced vehicle automation, significantly reducing manual handling requirements and increasing operational efficiency. The combination of technologies showcases Scott’s ability to deliver integrated solutions that span multiple areas of automation,” adds Vanwalleghem. • North American Food Processor – Canada In another milestone with the same North American food processor, Scott Technology has secured a second contract to implement its advanced single-line palletising technology at the company's Canadian facility. The project involves replacing an existing palletiser with Scott’s advanced technology, streamlining their processing and significantly improving throughput and efficiency. • EcoFrost – France In a significant win for Scott, EcoFrost, a leading Belgian producer of frozen food products, has selected Scott to support its expansion efforts into France. This strategic partnership highlights EcoFrost’s decision to leverage Scott’s multiline palletising system to optimise production efficiency. Scott’s advanced materials handling solution will be the core of EcoFrost’s production operations, ensuring both high performance and reliability at their state-of-the-art plant.
