Auckland, 29 October 2024: Fletcher Building Industries Limited (“FBIL”) meets the definition of a climate reporting entity under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013. However, the Financial Markets Conduct (Climate-related Disclosures - Fletcher Building Industries Limited) Exemption Notice 2024 exempts FBIL from Part 7A of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, including the requirement to prepare climate statements. https://www.fma.govt.nz/assets/Exemption/Financial-Markets-Conduct-Climate-related-Disclosures-Fletcher-Building-Industries-Limited-Exemption-Notice-2024.pdf This exemption applies to the year ended 30 June 2024 and subsequent accounting periods, up to and including the accounting period ending 30 June 2029. FBIL is relying on the exemption for the year ended 30 June 2024. The effect of the exemption is that FBIL has not prepared separate climate statements, and is also exempt from related record keeping duties which would otherwise apply. As a subsidiary of Fletcher Building Limited, FBIL will be included in the Fletcher Building Group Climate Statements, which can be found at https://fletcherbuilding.com/sustainability/sustainability-reports-publications-and-policies/ ENDS Authorised by: Haydn Wong Company Secretary For further information please contact: MEDIA Christian May General Manager – Corporate Affairs +64 21 305 398 Christian.May@fbu.com INVESTORS AND ANALYSTS Aleida White Head of Investor Relations +64 21 155 8837 Aleida.White@fbu.com
