Jon Hartley to not seek reappointment as Chair of Kiwibank

Kiwibank today announced that Jon Hartley has decided not to seek reappointment for the role as Chair of the Kiwibank Board when his current term ends in November 2025. Mr Hartley has served as Chair since November 2019. “I made this decision after considerable reflection over the summer. It has been a privilege to Chair Kiwibank since 2019. Our track record over the last five years reflects the many significant achievements of our people, for our customers and for Aotearoa. “Building on these impressive accomplishments, I feel it is the right time to “pass the baton” knowing the momentum will continue”, said Mr Hartley. Kiwibank Chief Executive, Steve Jurkovich, said: "We are deeply grateful for Jon’s dedication and leadership. His vision and commitment have been instrumental in driving our Purpose, strategy, and achieving our goals, and we look forward to his continued leadership over the remainder of his term.” The Kiwi Group Capital Limited Board will initiate a process to identify and appoint a new Chair of the Kiwibank Board.
